I believe that God has called me to love and nurture children. He has also given me a passion to pray for, encourage, and support children globally through child sponsorship programs. My heart's desire is to trust Him completely, serve Him passionately, worship Him wholeheartedly, love Him abundantly, and obey Him faithfully.

I graduated from Calvin College in 1987 with a BA in secondary education. I taught high school Spanish for 8½ years at Forest Hills Central before resigning to be a full-time mom. When my children were old enough to attend Ada Christian Preschool, I became involved as a parent helper and substitute teacher. I officially joined the preschool staff in 2003.

I met my wonderful husband, Randy, on a blind date at Calvin College. We have been married 25 years.Our daughter, Samantha, is a junior at Calvin studying speech pathology, and our son, Kyle, is a senior at NorthPointe Christian High. I enjoy listening to music, reading, biking, teaching Sunday school at Lakeside Community CRC, and spending time with my family.
