ACS is seeking an Elementary Classroom Aide

Ada Christian School is seeking a qualified individual with a love for the Lord and a desire to support the teacher and students as an elementary classroom aide. All of our aides walk alongside our faculty in equipping students for service in God’s world. They are a constant source of support and encouragement to teachers, students and parents. 

This is an hourly position Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:45 - 12:00.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Completion of High School
  • Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited institution and/or related experience working in a child-centered educational setting preferred
  • Participate in professional development opportunities related to position (both provided outside ACS and by ACS)

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Professional and effective written, verbal and listening communication skills

  • Children in grades K-8 attend a Christian school.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist student(s) in monitoring insulin levels.
  • Executes instructional activities with individual students or small groups of students following teacher direction and demonstration.
  • Assists in preparation of materials for classroom activities and assignments.
