Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior and friend. As I look back, I can see how
He has been with me. He has provided for me each step of the way. Walking beside me,
gently pushing, sometimes carrying me, He’s never let me go and never will, no matter
what. I can truly say that I’ve experienced the words from Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know
the plans I have for you...” and this is why I trust Him. It is my passion to work with our
children who are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” I love finding joy in my journey and
encouraging others in their journeys, as well.

I graduated from Calvin College in 1985 with a major in Physical Education and a minor
in English. I have had the honor of being involved in Christian Education as an educator
for 38 years. My first experience was at Hudsonville Unity Christian High School, where I taught PE, English and Health, and coached more than 25 different teams in a variety of sports. During that time I also completed my Master's Degree at Grand Valley State University. After 23 years there, God led me to Calvin University, where I taught in the Kinesiology Department and coached the Women's Softball team. After 6 years there, He opened the door for me here at Ada Christian School.

I was raised in a Christian home and attended Holland Christian Schools where I
enjoyed being a student and an athlete. I have three children and four grandchildren
who bring a lot of joy to my life. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and being active-- walking, golfing, hiking, playing, traveling and just “being.”
