Board Member Candidates

Board Member Election Process

In accordance with the Society's Bylaws, new trustees shall be elected at each annual members’ meeting. The Board is pleased to put forth the following candidates for your consideration.

Please vote for four (4) of these candidates to serve a three-year term as Ada Christian School board members.

 Jill Miller

What are the names and ages of your child(ren)?
Walter (7), Avalon (10), Henry (12), Piper (13)

What is your occupation and place of employment?
Speech Language Pathologist and I own Paper Plane Therapies, a pediatric speech and occupational therapy clinic. In my role as owner, I am involved in all aspects of the business, from supporting therapists, to supporting families, to the finances, to making goals and plans for the future with sustainability and growth in mind.

What is your spouse’s name & occupation/place of work?

Jay is a psychologist that specializes in working with adolescents, families, and marriages. He owns ClearWater Counseling and Wellness.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?
What vision do you have for our school?

I bring servant leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to Christian education. God has gifted me with listening, discernment, and problem-solving. Through leading people and growing a business, I’ve developed strengths in organizational leadership, stewardship, and long-term planning. I value collaboration, diverse perspectives, and prayerful, mission-centered decision making.

My vision for ACS is to continue growing as a Christ-centered community where students are deeply known, spiritually grounded, and challenged to develop their God-given gifts. I hope to see ACS remain committed to academic excellence while nurturing character, faith, and resilience. I value a future where teachers and staff feel supported and equipped and families feel meaningfully connected.

On what committees would you be willing to serve?

I would be willing to serve on the Finance, Education, Operations, or Long-Range Planning committees. 

Joshua Hanenburg

Physical Therapist - Partner/Practicing Clinician with Good Life Physical Therapy

Katherine is a Hair Stylist @ Home Salon

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?
I have experience in dealing in organizational leadership as well as planning and executing projects. I enjoy personal interaction and problem solving. I hold high value on Christian education especially during the formative years of elementary and middle school.

What vision do you have for our school?

I would love to see our school support and educate future Christian leaders who have a strong foundational belief in Jesus. I want to see ACS push our kids to explore their unique spiritual gifts and excel in the areas where God has blessed them both in academics and recreational activities.

On what committees would you be willing to serve?

Where ever I am needed - promotions, operations, planning

Chris Nance

What are the names and ages of your child(ren)?
Beckham (6), Declan (4)

What is your occupation and place of employment?

Regional Vice President, K12 Sales at Instructure, Inc. Instructure is the provider of Canvas LMS, which is widely adopted across 1/3 of all K12 institutes across the country. We also have Parchment (which is what my team provides), which allows students to accrue, send, and share earned credentials to higher education institutes and employers.

What is your spouse’s name & occupation/place of work?

Alyssa is in Marketing at State Farm.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

Romans 8: 31 - "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?

As someone who works for one of the largest educational technology companies in the world (Instructure), I speak with district administration and ground level faculty and hear about the challenges they're facing on a day-to-day basis. I'd love to use those experiences and conversations and work towards bringing a holistic, faith-filled experience for our families here at ACS (mine included!).

What vision do you have for our school?

The community, the faith that is presented to it's students, and the education provided by the amazing faculty are the quintessential package of what it means to have a great educational experience. My long term vision for ACS is that we firmly prioritize the three (3) items above and continue to evolve as necessary so that we're able to provide our kids with the best educational journey possible.

On what committees would you be willing to serve?

I'd be best equipped to serve on the education, operations, and promotions committees.

Alec DeLange

Laurel is a stay at home mom & Part-time Children's Ministry Coordinator - Redeemer OPC.

Romans 8:28: "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?

My background in operations and organizational leadership equips me to make clear, disciplined decisions in the best interest of the whole organization, aligned with our core focus. I bring a structured, analytical, and stewardship-focused approach, helping to focus decision-making on long-term impact. I tend to offer a steady, thoughtful voice in decisions that carry emotional weight.

What vision do you have for our school?

My vision for ACS is that it would continue to be recognized for the depth and authenticity of its Christian formation. Our greatest opportunity is to remain firmly rooted in a Christ-centered mission that shapes not only academic excellence, but also character, discipleship, and daily practice of faith, even when cultural or societal pressures might try to pull us in other directions.

On what committees would you be willing to serve?

I would be willing to serve on the Operations, Finance, and Long-Range Planning committees.

Jill Rosenboom

What is your occupation and place of employment?

I am a stay-at-home mom.

Brandon is the VP of Procurement at Rosenboom.

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?

I would use my experience as a former educator to support the staff at ACS. My focus would be listening to teachers to find ways to enhance classroom experiences for teachers and students. My background in curriculum development, along with teaching experience would allow me to offer a practical perspective on the board. I am committed to Christian education and value the faith community at ACS.

What vision do you have for our school?

My vision for ACS is to offer opportunities for students to grow in their faith. Exploring new ways in the classrooms, Outdoor Education, and extra-curricular activities to help kids experience God in meaningful ways. Striving for academic excellence by supporting teachers with quality curriculum and enhancing our enrichment and remedial programs so all students are equipped for lifelong learning.

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?

As an ACS grad and former ACS teacher, I bring a deep love for this place and all that God will do here.
With 10 years of teaching experience in Christian schools, I would bring an educational background and a desire to support our teachers. The clash of being a former teacher and my current work as a family photographer, I have lots of experience making connections and building relationships.

What vision do you have for our school?

I desire for ACS to be a special place where kids encounter God, grow a deep relationship with our Lord Jesus, are known and loved by teachers and students, and are prepared for service in God's world.

On what committees would you be willing to serve?

My gifts most align with: the education and promotions committees.

Sarah Langerak

What is your occupation and place of employment?

I'm a mom to three kids — Barrett, Lilian, and Palmer — and a Nurse Practitioner at SkinColab.

My husband, Brian, is the Director of Seating at Haworth

2 Chronicles 20:12 “Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”

What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?

I would bring a steady, prayerful approach to this role, seeking the Lord’s wisdom and leading with truth and grace. I value collaboration and listening well, thoughtfully considering different perspectives. I strive to lead through service—with compassion, humility, and integrity—and am committed to helping our students, families, and staff thrive.

What vision do you have for our school?

My vision for ACS is that we follow the Lord in all we do — that He is our foundation, shaping our decisions and culture. I want our school to be a light in the community, marked by Christ’s love and excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. My hope is that students leave rooted in faith, confident in Christ, and prepared for His calling on their lives.

On what committees would you be willing to serve?

I believe my skill set would be best suited for the promotions or education committees.

Jonathan Goossens

    What strengths or gifts would you bring to the Board?

    My entire professional career has been in fire suppression contracting. Vast knowledge of construction / finance / and managing people.

    What vision do you have for our school?

    Continue to help support the staff to focus on Christ centered education for our children. Help the school continue growing to be able to provide additional opportunities for our children.
