Lois Boerman

Since graduating from Calvin College in 1986 with a B.A. in Elementary Education, my life has been full. I taught fifth grade in Battle Creek, second grade in Rockford and was a school librarian in Byron Center. When my husband and I started our family, I stopped teaching in order to be at home with our children. During that busy time, I managed to earn a Master's Degree in Reading Education at Western Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences from Wayne State University. Once our children were grown, I went back into school library work and taught at Calvin College.

I am thrilled to be the librarian at ACS. It's great to work with such a wonderful staff. There's nothing better than reading aloud to rapt listeners and then matching up a student with just the right book.

My husband Rod and I have four children and we are members of First Christian Reformed Church. I enjoy reading, sewing and playing with words in my free time.

I am grateful to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his gift of eternal life. I humbly try to follow him and understand what it means to "be holy as He is holy."
