Melinda Homans

I believe that God created a good and perfect world, broken when sin and its suffering entered. But because of God's great love, we are not consumed, for the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ redeemed his beloved people and world. Now He is in the process of restoring it to its original glory and purpose--and to our great joy, He has asked us to participate in that restoration process. Guiding students in using their hearts, souls, minds, and strength to learn to recognize the goodness of God, the brokenness of sin's effects, and how their God-given gifts can help repair the world is a sacred calling, and one way I serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

BA in Education (English & history) from Calvin College
MA in Education from GVSU
I've taught English and history in Minnesota, Eastern Europe (Hungary), and Grand Rapids. After 14 years of teaching I took some time off to raise my children and worked part time in Communications and Education at a local church. But teaching is my first love, so I returned to the career I love in the school I love!
