Ada Connection

A Note From The Principal

100 Days of School!

Our kindergarten friends have been busy making some pretty awesome projects centering around the number 100.

This particular one caught my attention, since I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Anyway, to see the creativity of our students is one of the most exciting things for me to witness. This one also caught my eye, because I have played quite a few games of Chutes and Ladders with my kids over the years - great memories!

I wonder what memories you might have about what you may have done in kindergarten. Everyone knows that, “All I need to know, I learned in kindergarten.” At least that saying has been around for many years!

A Time For Everything

According to Ecclesiastes, there is a time and season for everything! The season of retirement has come for a couple of our ACS teaching family members.

Sharon Boersma and Judy Schaafsma have prayerfully considered this phase in their life and have both come to the decision that this school year will be their last. Thank you seems trivial for the many years of service these two pillars have given to Christian education. Their legacy will live on and they both assured us that just because they are retiring doesn't mean they aren't available in future years to support ACS in some way. They both love this place and these people. Their hearts will always be at ACS, even if they aren't always physically here. Best wishes to them as they look forward to a new chapter in their lives!

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our  6th graders and their teachers.

God is our Shield — One who is our means of defense or protection

Scripture: "LORD, may You be a shield around us, our glory, and the One who lifts our head." - Psalm 3:3

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8:00-9:00am, in the front office. If you have any questions, give me a call (Kelly, 616.304.2963)
