A Note From The Principal

What is Your Theme?

In one of our 78er classrooms, student work is plastered all over one of the walls. As you can tell from the heading, “What Is Your Theme?,” students were asked to write six words. The one pictured separately stood out to me, because it pretty well sums it up. If we get the respect God part correct and do our best to do that each day, all other parts of life will be encased in the correct perspective.

I didn’t say life would be easy, but the focus of each day is viewed through a deeper lens. This is a great reminder for us to make sure we have the right glasses on today.

This Week

MENistry

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our classroom and educational support teachers.

Attribute: God is our Savior — A person who saves, rescues, preserves from harm or danger, and keeps safe

Scripture: “God, may we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18a

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8:00-9:00am, in the front office. If you have any questions, give me a call (Kelly, 616.304.2963)

Parent Teacher Conferences - Feb 15 & 24

K-4th Parent Teacher Conference forms are due today.

Please note that 5-8th grade will be round robin style. If your student is in middle school you do not need to specify a time.

Parking Lot Safety

Now that the snow has begun to fall. Please have your kiddos ready to exit your car on the sidewalk side as soon as you pull into the loop. Once you come to a complete stop, have your kiddos get out and shut the door. If they are not ready to get out please do another loop around or pull into the parking lot. There are lots of cars that use this every morning and we have to be patient but yet prepared to use it.

Exploratory Items

We are looking for donated embroidery materials for an upcoming exploratory class. Embroidery hoops, embroidery needles, embroidery floss, and fabric pencils will all be needed and appreciated. If you have any of these items that you are willing to donate, please contact Julia Schaefer (). Thank you!
