I was inspired by my teachers at Ada Christian to become a teacher myself. This dream stuck with me through 4 years at Grand Rapids Christian High School and into Calvin College. I planned to be teaching kindergarten, but over the years I added a major in science and minor in math to be more equipped for the older grades I was enjoying more and more. I student taught in both a 5th grade classroom and a preschool classroom. Immediately following student teaching, I worked as an aide at Rockford Christian School. Now, I am thrilled to be at Ada Christian with my own classroom. God's plans are so much greater.

I married my high school sweetheart, Brandon, in August of 2016. We attend Cascade Fellowship CRC and are involved with leading the High School youth group. I love having the opportunity to excite and challenge students in their faith. We also enjoy being outside, spending time with our families, and working on our house, inside and out.

We have a good Father with great plans. I am consistently in awe of the ways God is at work in my life and the lives of those around me. Each day I fall a little more in love with my Savior and yet I cannot comprehend the incredible, sacrificial love He has for me. I strive for my students to see my love for Christ and His love for them through the ways I speak and act. I love having conversations with students about how God is at work, what it means to truly love him, and how this shows itself in our lives. God has called me to reveal His story of grace to each one of the precious lives in my classroom. We have a good Father with great plans; what an honor to be part of His plans.
