I love teaching in a place that allows me to share my faith with my students. Being a Christian does and should touch all areas of life, so teaching in a Christian school allows me to integrate faith into all areas of my teaching. I have found that Ada Christian is a wonderful place both for talking about and modeling my faith.

I attended Christian schools from Kindergarten-12th grade before going to Calvin College. I received a degree first in Recreation with an emphasis in Youth Ministry and worked in Youth Ministry for 2 1/2 years before feeling God’s calling to return to school to get a teaching certificate. After attending Calvin for the second time, I received my teaching certificate and began working here at Ada Christian. I have worked in a variety of roles during my time here, as a long-term sub, in the resource room, as a 3rd grade teacher, as a 5th grade teacher and now as a 4th grade teacher.

My husband Curt, and I attend Brookside Christian Reformed Church. He is a Middle School Social Studies teacher at Legacy Christian School. We have 2 boys who keep us busy, but we love all the things that come with being a parent.

I enjoy reading, playing games, being with friends and family, and traveling as time allows.
