"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
– Jeremiah 29:11

It is a true joy to be part of the ACS family. I consider it a privilege to share with my students the many ways God has worked—and continues to work—in my life. Each year, I look forward to walking alongside them as they discover how God uses every situation to grow their faith and deepen their relationship with Him.

I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University, with endorsements in Early Childhood and 6–8 Language Arts. I continued my education at Utah State University, where I studied curriculum design and development, and later earned a Master’s degree in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove University. Over the past 30+ years, I’ve had the joy of teaching students from preschool through fifth grade.

My husband, Wes, and I are proud parents of twin sons who are nearing 30. Since moving to Grand Rapids, we've been active members of Keystone Community Church—serving in various roles from leading a small group to working in the nursery. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, tackling home renovation projects, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
