Off-Campus Learning: Day 06

A Note from Principal Brower

Welcome to school. This is a great week for learning!

Tips for kids:

  • Be sure to remove things that keep you from focusing on your work.
  • Spend more time on the “hard” stuff than the “easy” stuff.
  • If your work is too hard, ask for help.
  • Take brain breaks - move around a bit and drink some water.
  • Keep a positive attitude.
  • Do your best quality work.
  • Stay on track so you don’t get behind in your work.

Daily Devotion

Listen: Now we will turn our focus towards Holy Week hearing stories of Jesus’ final days on earth. Please listen to a reading from “Journey to the Cross” by Helen Haidle called “The Betrayer”. Matthew 26: 1-5, 14-16; Mark 14: 10-11; Luke 22:1-6

Respond: Many of Jesus’ disciples couldn’t believe that Jesus would die on a cross in two days. Have you ever been so shocked by something that happened in your life that was really sad? It’s in those times especially that we need to put our Trust in the Lord. Reflect with this Coloring Page or reading these verses on trust. Proverbs 3:5; Psalm 28:7; Psalm 56:3

Prayer: Dear Lord, You are the God that we can trust. Thank you that even death does not defeat you Lord. Please continue to be with those who are sick or sad because of closings happening around the world. Help us to remember that you are above social distancing and isolations and are always by our side. Thank you for your Word and how it can bring us comfort and hope. In Jesus Name, Amen.
