A Note From The Principal
A Solid Rock

Later in the week, in faculty devotions, a teacher shared various Bible verses that supported our school theme verse, Colossians 3:12-14. Again, I was struck by the intentionality of how we use God’s Word, how we need to reflect on it and how important it is to live the Word.
What a gift it is for us to have this freedom in our school!
This Week

Vacation Absence Policy
With fall break coming up please take some time to review our vacation policy:
Please inform teachers with as much advance notice as possible when your child will be absent for a vacation.
Elementary teachers will hold any worksheets given out while a student is gone. These can be picked up when the student returns. Teachers are not required to prepare assignments or schoolwork in advance for students to take on vacation. Sometimes the teacher may request the student to complete a journal during the trip and to turn that in to the teacher.
Dress Code Update/Clarification
Our ACS Education committee has updated/clarified the following part of the dress code:
If pants/jeans contain rips/holes the rips/hole must be at fingertip length or lower.
At ACS we praise God and promote His kingdom in all areas of life, including the clothes we wear. Thank you for helping your student(s) select clothing each morning that meets the dress code.
PTO Happenings
Support the PTO
In addition to our fall and spring fundraisers below are two easy ways to support the PTO throughout the year.
Box Tops
Buy participating products and use the Box Tops app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products and earnings are credited to your designated school online. Even if you’re shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your digital or email receipt with the Box Tops app and earn. Twice a year, our school gets a check!
Direct Your Dollars
Do you shop at D&W, Forest Hills Foods, or Family Fare? If so, please save your receipts! SpartanNash gives Ada Christian School a $1,000 check for each $150,000 in receipts collected.
The money earned through this program goes directly back to our students through the PTO. Ask your family and friends to save receipts too! Every little bit helps. Receipts can be turned in at the ACS office.
