Ada Connection

A Note From The Principal

Building ACS Community

Building ACS community is a focus this year and this picture tells the story. Bringing back Buddies has been a huge blessing for our faculty and students. I realize I have written about this before, but it is so easy to snap a picture, smile and be assured that our students get to experience some joy with their new friends.

I wonder how this will go for the rest of the year? Will our older students be reminded of what it was like when they were that age? Will our younger students want to be like the big kids because of the investment of time they are experiencing? When these moments are scheduled, they will happen. When opportunities arise naturally, those moments may be seized by either or both sides. The relationships that are forming is just the beginning of intentional planning and God-honoring moments for our students to see Jesus in the flesh.

We need to be Jesus’ hands and feet. We want to be Jesus’ hands and feet. ACS is providing moments for the Holy Spirit to move. I am excited where this will lead us!

Action Needed

Parent Teacher Conference Schedule

Please review the K-6 Parent Teacher Conference Schedule. Note that there are two different tabs for Oct 12 & 17. If you are unable to attend at your scheduled time please correspond with your child's teacher directly.

7th & 8th grade parents can expect to meet with middle school teachers in a 3-min round robin style conference on both evenings.

Going Out of Town?

As a reminder, please email Kimmie Brander for any attendance updates for Fall Break. It is important to let us know if you are leaving early for your trip or staying later, that way we do not bother you on your trip with a phone call from the school!

Kindergarten Intentions

As we begin to prepare for next year’s enrollment we are asking parents to help in this process.

If you are the parent of a 4-5 year old and interested in Kindergarten at ACS next year please take a few moments to complete this Kindergarten Intentions form. Official enrollment for 24-25 will take place in mid February.

First time Kindergartener in the family? Beginning in October, Principal Sall will open up his calendar to meet with any families new to Kindergarten at ACS.

This year we are launching our First "Every Square Inch" Farm Fundraiser! A wise theologen once said "There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine! 'ˮ

We would like to introduce you to our Every Square Inch Fall Line of apparel. All of the profits from each item will go directly to paying for the food and fresh bedding for our goats and chickens. In addition this money will be used for the seeds we need to keep our gardens growing year round. The virtual storefront will be live until Friday, Oct 27. All orders will be filled and delivered to school by Nov, 27. Thank you for all your support! Items are available in infant - adult sizes while supplies last.

Education Foundation Fundraising Dinner - November 2

On behalf of the Ada Christian School Education Foundation:

You’re Invited to Ada Christian School on November 2, 2023 at 6:00 pm for the annual fall gathering. This event is the signature fundraising event for the Ada Christian School Education Foundation, which supports our call to provide a high quality Christian education to anyone who desires it. We hope you can join us on the campus of Ada Christian as we celebrate and launch our Faith Forward Advancement Campaign. Come enjoy an evening with friends as we share exciting plans for the future of Ada Christian School.

This year we welcome well-known practitioner, adolescent and family scholar, and author

Dr. Chap Clark. As a former pastor of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, CA, a professor and vice provost at Fuller Seminary, and a 15-year leader on Young Life staff, Chap has given his life to the encouragement and empowerment of young people and those who work with and for them.
