This Week
Foundation Dinner Update

"Kick in for our Kids" was the theme of last night's annual fall dinner for the Ada Christian School Education Foundation. Jason Hanson, former Detroit Lion placekicker, was our speaker. What a great night it was! Jason did a fine job of sharing his football and faith stories and reminding us of the importance of Christian education.
Special thanks to our Dinner Planning Team: Dawn Semple (chair), Carol Van Andel, Danya Yaffey, Sally Schrock, Sara Uekert, Melissa Brower and Julie DeKoster.
Moms In Prayer
God is our counselor. One who gives advice, guidance, direction. This week we are praying specifically for 5th grade.
"I will praise the Lord who counsels me— even at night my conscience instructs me. I keep the Lord in mind always. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." - Psalm
Come join us on this journey when you can. We meet weekly on Thursdays, 8:00-9:00am, in the ACS office back conference room.
Need more information? Contact Kelly Stafford (616.304.2963, ten.tsacmoc@droffats-kj).

Action Needed
Car Loop Reminders
Before the snow begins to fly, yes it is coming, we would like to remind you of some car loop rules. Please remember:
- to have your kids ready to exit the car and pull as far ahead as you can.
- this is a loop and part of the school, watch your speed into and out of the loop.
- if you need to help your kids out of the car please park in the lot and either walk them in or send them on their way.
- to have your kids exit the car on the curb side, this is to make sure that they do not slip on the snow or ice.
Ski Club
Our ski club will be held on Mondays in Jan and Feb after school until 8:00pm. We will make arrangements to carpool to Cannonsburg if needed, but you will need to pick up your child at the end of the evening. If you have younger children who are not old enough to be by themselves you will need to be there throughout the evening either skiing or in the lodge.
Sign up by Nov 27. After that time you will need to go through Cannonsburg.
All the prices are on the registration form. Checks should be payable to "Cannonsburg Ski Area" and sent to the ACS office with the form.
Sign up now for your ski passes and save money – 50% off the regular price. Card holders may use their passes anytime, any day during the 2017-2018 ski season, including weekends. 6 years old and under get their lift tickets free.

Fall Fundraiser Winners
Thank you to all who participated in this year’s Clubs Choice Fall Fundraiser! Our students have done a spectacular job at raising important funds for our school.
Product pickup will be on Wednesday, Nov 15 from 3:00-5:00pm in the Commons. We want to make the pick-up process as smooth and efficient as possible. Students will be given their order form/packing slip with a number written on the front. After school, take the forms to the numbered area in the Commons area that corresponds with the number on your form to pick up your products. Because some of the products are food products, please make arrangements to pick up the products on the day and time-frame listed.
Congratulations to our fundraiser winners and a big thank you to all!

School Wide Service Project
We are assembling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a world-wide service project that provides children with a gift of essential and fun items that often is the only present they ever receive. These children also hear the Gospel and learn about God’s love for them. Wolverine Worldwide is providing all the shoe boxes that students will be assembling and we need your help in collecting the items that will go inside.
Not sure what to bring in? Check the list to see what each grade is bringing in.
We are excited to have each of our students assemble a shoe box with their buddies, write a letter, and pray for the child who receives their box this Christmas.
