A Note From the Principal
To say it has been a joy to serve as the principal at ACS for the past 11 years is an incredible understatement! Thank you for the honor it has been to partner with you in Christian education. As this school year comes to a close and my career as an administrator draws to an end, I want to say thank you for the tremendous love and support you have shared with me. What a special family we have at ACS! May God bless each of you as you continue working together to nurture kids -- mind, body, and soul in Christian community!
In Christian Love,
Principal Brower
Now You Know
Face Masks
Students in grades 6 & 7 are being permitted to take mask breaks while socially distanced indoors.
Summer Office Hours
Although we are looking forward to summer break we will still have staff in the office from time to time. Please see our summer schedule below:
Tues, Wed, Thur 9:00am-2:00pm or by appointment
Chickens Available NOW
As part of our integrated outdoor education curriculum, we plan to have 6th grade students learn about and enjoy the process of hatching chicks, raising pullets, caring for hens, and managing their "Got Yolk" egg business each year.
Hatching new chicks each year means we need to find homes for some of our adult chickens each spring!
If you would like one or more of our adult chickens, please contact our Farm Manager, Miss Leah, as soon as possible. Our feathered friends will be given away on a first come, first serve basis! (gro.naitsirhcada@ikswokneisl)
Host Families Needed
We will be welcoming several new families to ACS come fall. Would you consider being a host family for the upcoming school year? As a host family you will introduce yourself to an assigned family that has a child entering the same grade as yours. We encourage you to welcome them and serve as a resource for them.
Interested? Contact Mark Stuit, gro.naitsirhcada@tiutsm
Retirement
Last call: There is still time to give towards retirement gifts. Gifts will be presented to our retirees at the end of the school year.
Summer Lunches
The Michigan Department of Education provides free meals for students over the summer break. For a location near you, please follow the link for the "Meet Up and Eat Up" map.

The team will also design, build, and program a working robot using a LEGO MINDSTORMS® kit, then complete “missions” on a table-top playing field. Teams compete against each other at exciting events where members will make new friends, show off what they have learned and invented, express team spirit, and celebrate! Sound like fun? What are you waiting for? Apply to join the ACS FIRST® LEGO® League today!
