Ada Connection

A Note From The Principal

The Olympics Are Coming

The winter olympics are near!  The excitement is beginning to fill the hallways, maybe because the assistant principal and principal were caught running up and down the hallways saying, “The Olympics are coming! The Olympics are coming!”

It is no coincidence that the photographer (Mr. Sall) took a picture with the Canadian flag next to the American flag, since he married a Canadian eh?!

Anyway, students are excited about being on an Olympic team and teachers look forward to competing in the ACS games! We also have the best announcers creating some pretty sweet videos.

We look forward to positive leadership from our older students and for memories to be made. A little bit of fun mixed in with our Christ-centered academic excellence is going to be a “win” for everyone!

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our  5th graders and their teachers.

God is our Shepherd — One who cares for, guards, and tends sheep

Scripture: "May You, God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant, brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip us with everything good for doing Your will, and may You work in us what is pleasing to You." Hebrews 13:20-21a

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8:00-9:00am, in the front office. If you have any questions, give me a call (Kelly, 616.304.2963)

Action Needed

Parent Teacher Conference Schedule

K-4th parents: Please review the PT Conference Schedule

If you have a student in grades 5-8 conferences will be round robin in the gym each night.

Parking Lot Safety

Now that the snow has begun to fall. Please have your kiddos ready to exit your car on the sidewalk side as soon as you pull into the loop. Once you come to a complete stop, have your kiddos get out and shut the door. If they are not ready to get out please do another loop around or pull into the parking lot. There are lots of cars that use this every morning and we have to be patient but yet prepared to use it.

Egg Cartons Needed

Mr. Wanner is in need of both paper and styrofoam egg cartons for art class. If you have a carton or two please turn them in at the office. Thank you!
