A Note From The Principal

Faith. Strong.

What a powerful tagline for Ada Christian! It is no mystery that our faith in Jesus makes us strong.

Lately, many inquiries have landed in our laps concerning the possibility of new families coming to ACS. During those tours, I share this tagline, talk about church attendance/membership, share about the wonderful opportunities ACS has to offer, and ultimately share the love of Christ.

Each grade level wing of our facility is named. Our PK-1st grade wing is Strong Beginnings. Our 2nd-4th grade wing is Strong Growing. Our 5th-8th grade wing is Strong Living. The progression of how we teach our students to live into their faith is evident in our signs on the wall as well as living the journey of our Christ-centered education each day.

This Week

Parents Night Out - May 20

Hey parents, if you’re looking for a night out and have K-4 students, the 8th Grade Class is having an event to raise money for their class trip.

Parents’ Night Out will take place on May 20, from 5:30-8:30pm. You can drop off your kids in the gym lobby between 5:30 and 6:00pm. We will have the gyms and commons open where your kids will enjoy a variety of games and fun led by the 8th graders. We will not be providing a snack, but if you would like your child to have one, please send one labeled with your child and we will have a safe location for it.

If you are interested, please fill out this form by Wed, May 18 so we can plan accordingly. There is no set price but donations are appreciated at the door. We will accept cash, check or card.

Thank you,

8th Grade Students and Staff

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our  8th graders and their teachers.

God is Able - One who has sufficient power, ability, and resources

Scripture: God, may we know that You are able to bless us abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work. From 2 Corinthians 9:8

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8:00-9:00am, in the front office. If you have any questions, give me a call (Kelly, 616.304.2963)

Parking Lot Safety

When using the car loop please use a single file line and do not cut around the line. It is important for student safety that we follow these rules in the parking lot.

As weather warms up please review our school dress code policy regarding tank tops, shorts and flip flops.

Hot Lunch Menu Change

Please note the menu change for May 31. Lunch will be: french toast strips/waffles, sausage links, potato choice, orange wedges and juice choice.

The May & June menu is here! Take a look at what’s for lunch the rest of the year and plan with your family.

Summer Camps & Tutoring

We will be offering a variety of camps and tutoring opportunities this summer.

Walk-a-thon Success

Walk-a-thon 2022 was fantastic! We're thankful for the beautiful sunny weather, for the staff who built excitement for the students and helped coordinate the day, for the two dozen enthusiastic parent volunteers, and for generous donations totaling over $30,500. We're excited that exceeding our fundraising goal will allow us to grant teacher wish list items at the end of the year! The highlight of it all was seeing the joy and energy of the students, with elementary racing to earn all the jelly bracelets they could on the track and middle school embracing the colorful mess of their run on the trails.

Thank you for your part in making this day a success! We have a wonderful school community.
