A Note From The Principal
Preschool Olympics

Students from various classes lined the hallways to celebrate with them by clapping and giving high fives.
The preschoolers proceeded outside to the track area where they did a warm-up lap all together, then split up into smaller groups for multiple activities and snack time. It was a true blessing to watch our “big kids” get excited for our little ones, then to see their faces light up before, during and after their olympic events.

Now You Know
Statements of Belief
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).
This year our school theme this year has been: "Lord Make Us One: One God, One Body, One Call". Out theme verses Ephesians 4:1-6 remind us "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." As believers in Jesus Christ all teachers, students, parents and everyone that makes up the community of ACS are one.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit in every believer, by whose indwelling and leading into Biblical truth the Christian learns to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30, 5:18).
Each time we gather together, whether for school wide Chapels and Gathering Times, special events like Grand Friend's Day, or daily devotions in our classrooms, we invite the Holy Spirit to dwell with us and move among us.
We give praise for the unity of believers while supporting the work of the Holy Spirit in our students’ lives.

2024-2025 ACS Robotics
The ACS Robotics League is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 VEX IQ Robotics Competition season! In our second year at ACS, VEX IQ provides students in grades 4-8 with open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning.
Students will work in small teams to develop critical thinking, project management, and communication skills by building and programming robots to solve the VEX IQ Challenge. Teams will put their robots to the test in local competitions starting in January. The time commitment involved in ACS Robotics League is comparable to a sports team. Practices begin in October and will be held two nights per week (Wednesdays and Fridays) with some evening game nights and one or more Saturday tournaments.
- Teams will compete in 4 league night competitions in Grandville beginning in January and ending in February.
- Teams will compete in at least one full-day Saturday tournament in the Grand Rapids area, with the potential for additional tournaments. Tournaments typically take place in January.
- Through regular season competitions, teams have the potential to earn an invitation to the Michigan State Competition that typically takes place in Monroe, MI in February or March.
- Applications for ACS Robotics League are now open and will be accepted through Friday, September 13, 2024. Copies of the application are available in the Ada Christian School office.
