Moms In Prayer
Join us for Moms in Prayer on Thursday, February 7 from 8:00-9:00am in the back ACS conference room. Our attribute this week is "God is Light". We will be praying specifically for our 3rd grade students and staff. Contact Kristen Yeh at momsinprayer@adachristian.org with any questions. Younger siblings are always welcome.
Action Needed
Car Loop Efficiency
In order to assist in the efficiency of our car loops it is necessary that you do not park or exit your vehicle. Once your student enters the car we ask that you pull forward so as to keep the line moving. We are doing our best to move cars along in a prompt manner and we thank you for your patience and assistance.
Parent Teacher Conferences - Feb 8 & 14
To increase efficiency and communication for all parties we have moved to an online self-scheduling model for Parent Teacher Conferences. We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this new self-scheduling model. Thank you for your partnership!
K-4th grade: Please sign up for a time to meet with your child(ren)’s teacher on either Feb 8 or 14.
5th-8th grade: These conferences will take place in 5 minute “round robin” sessions. Please take a moment to let us know which night you plan to attend.
Now You Know
Construction Update
As many of you have noticed we are busy behind school with a construction project. Watch the video below to learn more details about the project!
Sticky Faith Small Groups
This past fall, we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Chap Clark, the esteemed author of "Sticky Faith," at our Foundation Dinner. Dr. Clark delivered a motivational speech, emphasizing the vital role parents and other influential figures play in our children's spiritual journey.
In continuation of this inspiring message, we are excited to invite you to participate in small groups where we will read and study "Sticky Faith" together. This is a wonderful opportunity to delve deeper into the concepts discussed by Dr. Clark and explore practical ways to strengthen the spiritual foundation of our children.
Sponsored by the ACS Promotions Committee, we are offering a complimentary copy of the book to interested parents. Additionally, you have the option to be partnered with other parents for a more enriching and collaborative experience.
The small groups will be a short term commitment with the group members deciding the duration, timing and location of the meetings.
If you are interested in receiving a free copy of "Sticky Faith" and learning more about this opportunity, please fill out this short questionnaire. We will be hosting a special kick off at school on February 22 at 6:30pm. Childcare will be provided. Chap Clark will join remotely and help with the launch.
We believe that coming together as a community will not only enhance our understanding of the book but also foster meaningful connections among parents, faculty and staff.
We look forward to embarking on this journey with you and creating a space for insightful discussions and shared insights.
The promotions committee helps carry out marketing and promotion strategies for ACS. They also provide opportunities for building a sense of school community among parents of Ada Christian School students.
Important Enrollment Information
As we look ahead to the 2024-2025 academic year, we are thrilled to announce some significant changes to our enrollment process that we believe will enhance your overall experience.
We are excited to inform you that we will be transitioning to a new enrollment system called Blackbaud, designed to streamline our processes and provide you with a more efficient and user-friendly enrollment experience.
Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is set to open on February 12, 2024. On this date, all current K-8 ACS families will receive an email containing a link to set up your Blackbaud account. Additionally, families who have completed the application and participated in a tour/interview with Principal Sall will also receive the enrollment link.
We appreciate your continued support and collaboration as we implement these positive changes to our enrollment process. We believe that Blackbaud will contribute to a more seamless and enjoyable experience for all our families.
Unicycle Club
The ACS Unicycle Club is for 1st-8th grade students who would like to learn how to ride a unicycle or progress in other unicycle skills. We are offering the club one last time this school year.
We will meet the first four Tuesdays in March after school from 3:05pm-4:00pm starting on Tuesday, Mar 05.
We provide the unicycles, and you provide the rider. The club will be capped at 20 members. Although unicycles are provided, you may bring your own if you prefer.
The cost is $30 for new riders and $10 for returning club members who can ride on their own and will be bringing their own unicycle. Use this link to sign up online. If you are registering multiple children, please fill out an individual form for each child.
Members will be admitted on a first come, first served basis. Students who have not participated in a previous Unicycle Club will be given priority. If the club reaches capacity, a waiting list will be started. Questions? Contact:
