A Note From The Principal

Color Run Fun!

ACS is a great place to learn and a great place for fun events! Our Walk-a-Thon and Color Run were huge successes. All those that participated in any way enjoyed being on campus, handing out popsicles and dousing students with colorful chalk.

This picture is the ACS way of getting as much chalk off as possible. Years ago, washing with water was the method, but in recent years we decided blowers did the trick and students love it!

Thank you for your support with these events!

This Week

Moms In Prayer

Join us for Moms in Prayer on Thursday, May 16 from 8:00-9:00am in the back ACS conference room. Our attribute this week is "God is the Finisher". We will be praying for our entire ACS community as we finish the year strong. Contact Kristen Yeh at ;with any questions. Younger siblings are always welcome.

Now You Know

    I Believe Video

Our fourth graders have grown to love the song I Believe by Phil Whickam. We worked together to create a music video showing off our new library and how Christ is found in all places here at ACS. We are proud to be Faith. Strong.

    Statements of Belief

We believe that because of the fall of mankind into sin, we must be reborn by the Holy Spirit unto salvation; and that people are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God's grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:1-19; John 5:24; Romans 3:23-24, 5: 8-9; Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5).

John 5:24 - "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life."
Romans 3:23-24 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

These two texts show our sinful nature and God’s grace toward Jesus’ redemptive work in our lives. His second coming will be the final chapter to our full restoration. While some words in these texts seem “big” to our younger students, the message of our loving God is clear to them in our “Good, Broken, Better/Restored” language we use at ACS. The Bible is our foundation and the driving force for our mission where students understand how to serve God and learn more about our values of living in God’s creation for our mind, body and soul in Christian community.

    2024-2025 ACS Robotics

The ACS Robotics League is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 VEX IQ Robotics Competition season! In our second year at ACS, VEX IQ provides students in grades 4-8 with open-ended robotics challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning.

Students will work in small teams to develop critical thinking, project management, and communication skills by building and programming robots to solve the VEX IQ Challenge. Teams will put their robots to the test in local competitions starting in January. The time commitment involved in ACS Robotics League is comparable to a sports team. Practices begin in October and will be held two nights per week (Wednesdays and Fridays) with some evening game nights and one or more Saturday tournaments.

    • Teams will compete in 4 league night competitions in Grandville beginning in January and ending in February.
    • Teams will compete in at least one full-day Saturday tournament in the Grand Rapids area, with the potential for additional tournaments. Tournaments typically take place in January.
    • Through regular season competitions, teams have the potential to earn an invitation to the Michigan State Competition that typically takes place in Monroe, MI in February or March.
    • Applications for ACS Robotics League are now open and will be accepted through Friday, September 13, 2024. Copies of the application are available in the Ada Christian School office.

    Got Shoes? Give Shoes!

Students will soon be cleaning out their lockers. If your child's PE shoes will be too small for use next year, please consider donating them to Family Assistance.  Family Assistance is a non-profit organization that was started in 1969. It serves 60 different agencies in Kent County providing clothing for families. Last year Family Assistance provided clothing for 6,200 people. Large cardboard collection boxes will be placed next week at the end of every hallway and the front lobby where you or your child can place their shoe donations.
