Sun & Son

One morning as I drove in from Moline to Ada, I was able to responsibly snap this picture while I kept my eyes on the road and one hand on the steering wheel:).

As the sun rose over the horizon, the beauty of it caused me to gasp and say, “Thank you, Lord for another beautiful day!

I also was reminded of how to keep my eyes focused on what is ahead, not what is in the past. The light from the sun shone brightly that morning. The light of the Son needs to shine ever so much more brightly as we focus our attention on the plans He already has for us.

Back to School Party!

Wed, Sept 08, 6:00 - 8:00pm at the ACS Track & Field. Sponsored by our ACS Promotions Committee, this event is sure to please.

Online registration is now closed but tickets are available at the door. The cost is $5 per person and includes one dessert from one of the many food trucks and access to the bounce houses, obstacle courses and other fun activities.

Tickets will be distributed when you arrive at the party. Looking forward to this wonderful community event!

It's that time again. All students, staff and parents are encouraged to wear their ACS gear to school this week Friday, Sept 10. Looking to purchase a theme t-shirt for this school year? Order online. Orders will be accepted through Friday, Sept 10. 

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers and students.

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8:00-9:00am, in the front office conference room. If you have any questions, contact Kelly Stafford, 616.304.2963

Lost & Found

The lost and found will be outside on Thursday and Friday. Please take a look through and see if any items belong to you. What is left at the end of the day will be boxed away. You can always check the lost and found which is located by the kitchen/music rooms.

Riding for Ryan

In memory of Ryan Marsman Riding for Ryan bike flags will be available at the Back to School Party today.  

Hot Lunch

Hot lunch is available daily at no cost for all students. Students order each morning in their homerooms. Here is the Sept menu .

We are looking for weekly help in the kitchen for two days a week roughly 9:00am-1:30pm.

Parent Class Coffees

Moms and dads - join us and meet fellow parents of your child’s classmates! It only takes an hour, and it is a great way to connect with other parents. Led by our Promotions Committee, we will meet from 8:00-9:00am in the outdoor “WoodshED” for coffee, refreshments, devotions, and time to chat.

Education Foundation Fall Fundraiser

Tickets are now available for the Ada Christian School Education Foundation Annual Fundraiser. The annual fall gathering is the signature fundraising event for the Ada Christian School Education Foundation, which provides essential support to our school. This year we welcome special guests, Pastor and Musician John Pomeroy and Christian Illusionist John Michael Hinton. Come stroll the grounds of ACS as we gather together to give and grow in support of our kids.

Do you shop at D&W, Forest Hills Foods, or Family Fare? If so, please save your receipts! SpartanNash gives Ada Christian School a $1,000 check for every $150,000 in receipts collected. The money earned through this program goes directly back to our students through the PTO. Our PTO has received $5000 since the program started. Ask your family and friends to save receipts too! Every little bit helps.
