I believe that every child is made in Imago Dei. Teaching at Ada Christian School gives me the opportunity to teach children to sing, move, and play instruments while learning to celebrate God's gift of music in a safe, encouragement-filled classroom.

(verse) Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

I had the privilege of being raised in church where I was blessed to be able to serve on the worship team and in the children's ministry. My desire to deepen my faith led me to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Music Education K-12 at Cornerstone University. There, I was able to intern at Cannonsburg Elementary in Rockford and at Caledonia Community Schools. Upon graduating in I stayed at Caledonia Community Schools as the Assistant Music Teacher, teaching beginning band, high school band, and middle school orchestra.

Outside of the classroom and church, I love being outdoors and going hiking. I am also a creator at heart. Whether I am writing music, baking a new recipe, or working on a sewing project, I love the process of bringing things to life. I also enjoy quality time with family and friends, playing board games, as well as quiet times with my husband, Elijah, reading a book.

I am excited to be a part of Ada Christian School and make music with the elementary students!
