I can’t express the joy that fills my heart in being a part of the team of teachers at Ada Christian School! This place is where I was raised and where my faith journey began. Giving students the same experiences at Ada Christian that I was blessed to receive was ALWAYS a dream of mine.

After attending Ada Christian from preschool through 8th grade, I attended Grand Rapids Christian High School and then Calvin where I felt God calling me to be a teacher. What a blessing it has been in my life! I had the privilege of student teaching in a first grade classroom at Stocking Elementary School and then in a Ken-o-sha preschool classroom. My eyes were open to the joys and challenges of being a teacher and now I'm blessed to lead a classroom of my own! God is SO good!

My biggest joy in teaching is guiding my students to claim their faith as their own. Popcorn prayers in the morning as a class is the biggest blessing; having the ability to create a safe place for all students to be open about their faith is most important to me!

I have been married to Preston since May 30, 2014. We have one daughter and one son. We attend Cascade Fellowship CRC where we are involved in leading the Middle School and High School youth groups! It's our pleasure to influence and challenge these students in their faith, and give them an enjoyable yet challenging church experience that they will take with them throughout their life.
