Although I grew up in the suburbs of New York, the Christian home my parents raised me in, the church I grew up in, the K-8 Christian school I attended and my grandparent’s house were all within a two block radius. This unique experience formed in me a particular sense of community that God has continued to develop. It is my desire to help children experience Ada Christian as a place of belonging so that they discover the way that God has uniquely created each of them and are prepared to live that out in a way that works towards shalom in God’s Kingdom.
I graduated from Calvin College in 2006 and Calvin University in 2020, first with a degree in education and Spanish and then with a master’s in curriculum and development. For seven years, I was an elementary and middle school Spanish teacher. I then went on to work for a local church denomination and eventually to be a stay at home mom. I love being a mom to my three boys and have been an Ada Christian parent since my oldest started kindergarten in 2020. It is a joy and an honor to now be joining Ada Christian as a preschool before care aide.
