Video: ACS PurePlay & Athletics

PurePlay and the athletic program here at Ada Christian School is very much about exploring friendships – it's very much about participation. They're building blocks as students grow up. And it's fun! – principal

We provide a very good foundation for our students. From young five up to 8th grade. And there's a lot of good opportunities for students to be involved. – PurePlay coordinator

The best part about PurePlay is everyone gets to play and everyone has fun.  The idea is that you serve God with your body, in sport because you want to develop a healthy body and a healthy lifestyle forever. – parent

The goal is to introduce students to sports; the pure joy of playing but also the rules and how to be part of a team.– PurePlay coordinator

I think pureplay will take out that intensity and just let the kids experience the sport.– parent

They get an opportunity to just test it in a safe environment  and it’s coached by parents who are pouring their heart and soul into it. So it's just different.– parent

As soon as we adopted Tinsea, we came home and it was the first week of school. And within four days we had him enrolled in PurePlay soccer. So he went out and proved himself as a really adept soccer player.– parent

Come 5th grade, then, PurePlay will lead you into playing against other schools. So then you have soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country and track.– parent

Track, it's nice right now because we can actually practice the events. Some schools don't have a long jump pit or a high jump pad.– student

We're just blessed with an amazing campus. Both of our gymnasiums are top notch.– parent

The athletics are an important part of Ada Christian. And it gives them a chance to excel and they can chose to go further and develop more if they want to.– PurePlay coordinator

It is about athletics, it is about sports, it is about healthy bodies and learning those fundamentals but it's also about community. And finding more about who you are.– principal

Everybody's involved and nobody's excluded. We all have a great time.– student

It takes everybody to make a team. There's a lot of great learning opportunities for relationship building; whether it's between students, coaches and kids, and between parents.

It's a bright spot at Ada Christian School. – principal
