Now You Know

COVID-19 Update

To help clarify a recent local health department protocol change, effective this morning, ACS has updated our daily symptom screener.

If someone in your household has been tested and is awaiting results, household members may not come to school until results are known. Is anyone in your household awaiting test results?

Note: If the testing is being done prior to a surgical/medical procedure or if an employer requires it after traveling outside out of the state, students MAY come to school.

If your child is exhibiting symptoms and a test is recommended by their doctor the Walgreens at 28th & Kalamazoo is offering a Rapid Point-of-Care (POC) Test. Patients can expect to receive results within 24 hours.

K-8 Parent Teacher Conferences – Oct 13-20

Partnering with parents is an important part of our ACS culture. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, homeroom teachers will be using Google Meet to connect with parents. The appointment slots are 15 minutes long with an expectation of conferences taking about 10 minutes (allowing teachers time to connect in for the next appointment).

Parents should watch for communication from homeroom teachers to sign up for a date and time.

Trip Orders

We are still accepting TRIP orders! Filled orders will be ready by the following week (Wednesday). However, due to limited access into the school, your TRIP orders can be picked up by calling the main office. Thank you

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our 1st graders and their teachers.

Attribute: God is Generous — One who bestows abundant blessings and provision; one who is liberal in giving

Scripture: "LORD, may we be a generous people who prosper; may we refresh others so that they will also be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25

We’re a group of Moms (aunts/grandmas) passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer. We meet every Thursday morning 8:00-9:00am. Younger siblings are always welcome! This week we’re meeting in Ada Village, Legacy Park, across from the Zeytin Restaurant. Come join us for the journey when you can.

Need more information? Contact Kelly Stafford (616.304.2963, ).

Hot Lunch

Eating lunch at school is delicious and free! School lunch continues to be free for K-8th grade. Kindergarten through 8th, you do not need to register or pre order, students will place daily in class.

See what's for lunch!
