Ada Connection – Oct 25, 2017

This Week

Protecting Young Eyes

Parents, two years ago we invited Chris McKenna to speak with our families. Many attended and found his presentation to be beyond helpful. Parenting in this age of digital communication and media can be daunting. Children with technology at their fingertips before they have the emotional tools to navigate such tricky waters, benefit from parents being fully informed. Chris stays current in an ever changing digital world, and we would like to encourage as many parents as possible to take advantage of this opportunity.

Consider attending tonight from 6:30-8:00pm at Thornapple Covenant Church.

Moms In Prayer

God is Compassionate. One who is caring, loving and empathetic. This week we are praying specifically for 3rd grade.

"Therefore, God's chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humiity, gentleness, and patience." - Colossians 3:12

Come join us on this journey when you can. We meet weekly on Thursdays, 8:00-9:00am, in the ACS office back conference room.

Need more information? Contact Kelly Stafford (616.304.2963, ).

MENistry

Come join other dads in room 504 from 8:00-9:00am every Friday as we explore our call to be faithful men of Christ. We will be dwelling with the Word in the book of Luke this semester. Coffee and donuts provided. All ACS dads are welcome!

School Wide Service Project

We are assembling shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child, a world-wide service project that provides children with a gift of essential and fun items that often is the only present they ever receive. These children also hear the Gospel and learn about God’s love for them. Wolverine Worldwide is providing all the shoe boxes that students will be assembling and we need your help in collecting the items that will go inside. A letter is coming home in a few weeks with all the details.

We will be selling cider & donuts on Nov 01, 02, & 03 after school. Donuts are $1 and cider is 25 cents. Thank you to the Vander Heides of VanderMill Cider for donating both donuts and cider. This will help pay for the delivery of the boxes as well as the volunteers who distribute the gifts and the good news of our Lord. We are excited to have each of our students assemble a shoe box with their buddies, write a letter, and pray for the child who receives their box this Christmas.
