A Note From Principal Brower
Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving! A special thank you to our first and second grade students for leading our Chapel Tuesday morning. So many reasons to tell the wonders of creation's King.
What A Gift!
Ada Christian School was blessed immensely this year with a gift for the ACS Education Foundation. An annual gift from our foundation allows us to keep the cost of tuition as affordable as possible and provides much needed tuition assistance to families.
Thank you to all that help support our foundation through your gifts of time, treasures and talents.
Suwyn's Honored at Foundation Dinner
Congratulations to Duke and Sue Suwyn, our ACS Education Foundation Distinguished Service Award.
Now You Know
Moms In Prayer
We will be praying on Dec 01 specifically for 5th grade. God reveals.
"However, as it is written: 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him'-- but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God."- 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
Please join us Thursdays at 8:00-9:00am in the office conference room as we pray for our children, their teachers and the ACS community.
Questions? Contact Laura Cawley (616.425.9728, moc.oohay@57_csarual).
MENistry
A group of ACS dads who meet and dwell with the Word of God every Friday 8:00-9:00am in the back office conference room. This fall we will be going through the book of Ephesians.
Action Needed
Serve Through Bus Driving
Do you have a few hours a day and a desire to support our ACS programming by driving a bus? We are in need of a driver! The hours are 6:30-8:00am and 2:45-4:15pm M - F. Training is required and will be provided.
Available? Please contact Bill Venneman or Julie DeKoster. Kids LOVE their bus drivers and we would love to welcome a new driver to our family!
Keycard Sales
The Keycard will be available for $25. Find out just how many places it can be used. Stop by the office to buy yours any time between now and Christmas break.
Only $25 for $100’s of dollars in savings and an opportunity to help our music department.
Meals For The Rauch Family
The Rauch family has several students at ACS and Teresa, the mom, has been diagnosed with ALS. Outside of coveting your prayers, the family could really use meals. The meal would need to feed 5-6 people. No allergies. Meals may be delivered to the office and will be pick up after school. Sign upfor more details and see what others are marking.

PTO Happenings
Christmas Gift Shop
On Thursday and Friday, Dec 08 and 09, the ACS Commons will again be transformed into a Christmas Gift Shop for your children to select Christmas gifts for their parents and siblings. Students will shop with their classes during a designated shopping time. Parent volunteers will be helping your children select and wrap gifts.
On Friday at 2:00pm, we will open the Christmas Gift Shop to parents – feel free to come in and shop alone (or with your children after school) for other relatives. We will stay open until 3:30 pm.
If you have more than one child at ACS, please send each child with their own spending money, rather than writing one large check. This helps us tremendously during checkout, as your children will probably not be shopping together at the same time.
Please have your child bring these items to school on Thurs, Dec 08:
* A large brown grocery bag with their name on it
* A completed order form
* Spending money (check made out to ACS or cash)

Art In The Lobby
Christmas is near and we will be searching for special gifts. When you purchase an original painting by Jan Carpenter, 100% of that purchase will go to support Kabala Christian School, a Christian school in West Africa. The school will have its first graduating class this year! These students will be the future of Sierra Leone. The paintings will be displayed in the front lobby of Ada Christian School the week after Thanksgiving. Checks can be made directly to Schools for Sierra Leone.
