What happens when the South gym is being set up for our amazing Faith Forward Foundation dinner?

We improvise.

Our 5th grade PE teacher coordinates with our 2nd grade PE teacher and they have students work with buddies in the North gym!

Thankfully, we have two gyms at ACS and are able to make necessary adjustments when special events take place.

Also, thankfully, our teaching team at ACS embodies flexibility to not only make things work, but to thrive while doing it. Watching the 5th grade students encouraging our 2nd grade students and seeing our 2nd grade students respond excitedly to our 5th grade students is heartwarming.

I guess this could have just been “another day in the life at ACS,” but sharing this with you only solidifies that even in the seemingly “ordinary” events, our students are being Jesus’ hands and feet in their daily journey.

Get your ACS gear ready for Friday! On Friday, Dec 1 we encourage all students, parents and staff to show their ACS spirit. If you don’t own any ACS gear yet you can wear your favorite blue t-shirt!

Moms In Prayer

Join us for Moms in Prayer on Thursday, November 1 from 8:00-9:00am in the back ACS conference room. Our attribute this week is "God is our Friend. We will be praying specifically for our 5th graders and their teachers. Contact Kristen Yeh with any questions. Younger siblings are always welcome.

Veterans Day Chapel - Nov 10

Our all school Veterans Day chapel will be led by the 6th grade and the 78 band on Friday, Nov 10 at 8:15am in the South Gym. Please come and join us as we remember those who gave so much for our country. We understand that our freedom is not free. We would love to have family members come who are veterans or active military so that we can thank you for your service.

Ski Punch Pass

Did you see the snow falling earlier this week?? That means ski season is right around the corner and now is the perfect time to purchase your punch cards for the season!

Cannonsburg Punch Passes are now available for purchase online!  

When you purchase the punch cards from Cannonsburg you will get discounted pricing on lift tickets, ski and snowboard rentals plus discounted pricing on private lessons.

You can purchase online now and have them sent to your home. Six and ten punch passes are available for all students AND parents (six and under ski/board for free). Just follow the easy instructions below to purchase online.

    2. Click on teal button on top of page

    3. Right hand side under "products" click on "passes"

    4. Choose the pass (or passes) you need for your family

    5. Be sure to enter in our school (Ada Christian School) and sponsor (Katie Kuiper)

Makers Meet Club

We will meet 3 Tuesdays in November: Nov 14, 21, 28 to make crafts together and also learn some practical skills like sewing on buttons and some hand stitching and sewing.

We will make at least 3 different projects - likely more - including hand sewn felt or fabric Christmas ornaments, folk garlands, chain charms for backpacks or bracelets, basic decoupage, some painted Christmas ornaments, some basic quilting and other crafts Mrs. VN will cook up for us to do.

Current thought is to have a snack each week (included!), and then spend 45 minutes working on whatever our craft of the week is. Cost per student ($30) includes all materials needed for each craft as well as snacks.

Limited to 10 students maximum. Class will meet in the band room.

Students should bring a sharp sewing scissors that will cut fabric if possible, and it would be helpful if each student could practice threading a needle at home prior to attending - although we will learn that together too!
