Virtual Grand Friend's Day

Our students have prepared several videos to share with their Grand Friend's. Please tell your Grand Friend's to check the ACS facebook page throughout the day on Friday to see the videos. We will also be sending out a link to the videos that you may forward all to your Grand Friend's who are not on social media.

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our 6th grade teachers and students.

Attribute: God is Mighty — One who has or shows great power, skill, strength, or force.

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8:00-9:00am. Join us in person or, if you’d like to join us via Google Meet, please do! If you have trouble signing on, call Kelly Stafford, 616.304.2963

Now You Know

Spring Plant Sale

When: After school starting on Thur, May 06 and continuing until plants are sold

Where: In front of school, hosted by the 3rd and 4th grade classes

What: Hanging baskets and perennials will be available this week. Vegetable starts will be added soon after: herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and more!

Don’t forget Mother’s Day is this Sunday! Be sure to stop by this Thursday and Friday to get a hanging basket for the mother in your life. Check back for additional perennials and vegetable starts to come.

From the Library

Final checkouts for the library will be Mon, May 17. After this date, the end of the year work begins in the library including taking inventory of the collection book by book. Students will continue to come to the library through the end of the year.

May 17 is also the final date for purchasing a birthday book for this school year. If you need a form or have any questions, please contact Lois Boerman or Sue Prins. 

Shop With SCRIP

The last date to order physical cards from ShopWithScrip will be June 02 (available for pick up before school is out for summer). However, ScripNow cards will be available all summer! Also, if you have not downloaded the RaiseRight app by ShopWithScrip, this is another great option to continue your tuition savings throughout the summer. Another month has come and gone. We have been busy learning in God's creation. See what we've been up to!

Class Lists

While it may seem early to some, plans are already underway for the upcoming school year! We are eager to welcome students in the fall as they begin another year of learning and growing together.

One way ACS prepares for the year ahead is by forming class lists. Numerous factors and complex elements are carefully considered when class lists are generated. Teachers also take special notice and consideration of how students interact with one another as they prayerfully consider combinations of students. 

We are asking parents of students in grades 2 through 4 to complete the survey that was emailed to you in which you will be asked to list five friends that you believe would be a good fit as classmates next year for your child.  We will do our best to place at least one of those friends in your student’s class. Students in grades 5 through 7 have completed the classmate requests with their teachers.

Retirement Open House – May 20

Come celebrate the many years of loyal service these three have poured into our students. Come wish them the best as they close out this chapter and begin anew.

Where: On the track at Ada Christian School

FACTS Enrollment Notifications

As a reminder, upon enrollment you will receive notifications from FACTS in three separate actions. (Please note this can take a few weeks).

   1. Confirmation of the total commitment you have made (this will include tuition and any donations).

   2. Confirmation of the enrollment fee you have paid.

   3. Confirmation of any financial assistance you will receive (please note that this may not happen immediately. Our team along with several churches are still calculating assistance.)

Summer Camps & Tutoring

Discover the exciting camps we are offering at ACS this summer. Whether your child loves art, technology, music or outdoor ed there is something for them!

Mrs. VanStee will be offering tutoring opportunities for K-4th grades on Wednesdays and Mrs. Vruwink will offer ukulele and voice lessons to 3rd-8th graders on Tuesday mornings.

Parents are invited to join us for our Spring Concerts. Guests will be limited so please watch for more details. Come see the incredible progress our musicians have made this school year.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is Teacher Appreciation week and it is “plane” to see we have the best teachers in the world!

Walk-a-thon - May 07

Walk-a-thon envelopes are due today! Please track donations and sign the permission slip. Please convert cash to checks made payable to Ada Christian School. You can also give online.

Please have students wear ACS apparel or school colors on Friday.

Fundraiser money helps the PTO support the school. The bulk of the money goes directly to our wonderful teachers and their classrooms! Watch a quick video with examples of where the money is used.
