A Note From The Principal
Love, Joy, Peace and Hope
Dear ACS Families,
I do not think I can read the story of the birth of Christ without a sense of heaviness coming over me when I try to imagine how Joseph and Mary must have felt when it was time for Christ to be born. I think of things like:
Stress - Newlyweds explaining a virgin birth to family
Uncertain Times - Labor pains and no rooms available
Isolation - a family alone in a stable
Challenges - Realizing you are being entrusted to parent the Savior of the world
But when I stop and let the cloud of heaviness evaporate and soak in God’s goodness, I think of things like:
Love - Newlyweds keeping their promises
Joy - Finding a place to stay before the baby was born
Peace - Cradling the Prince of Peace in your arms
Hope - Knowing the Savior of the world has come to earth to redeem his people
During a year in which we have all, undoubtedly, been impacted by stress, uncertain times, isolation, and challenges, we are praising God for the way we can face every day with love, joy, peace, and hope. We know and serve the King of Kings, Prince of Peace, Savior, and Light of the world!
