Report Cards Coming Your Way Tomorrow!
We will be sending report cards home Thursday, Dec 03. A few details:
Absences
We have all been working together to have kids in school as much as possible! Thank you for completing the daily screeners and being extra cautious by keeping kids home when they exhibit symptoms that could be related to C-19. In addition to keeping kids home for symptoms and the need for some students to quarantine, we understand that absences are higher for some students than normal. It’s ok! We are in school and learning as we do our best to keep everyone healthy.
Elementary
Report cards will be sent home with students. We ask students to wait to open their report cards until they are with their parents. Parents are asked to sign and return the envelope in which the report cards are sent. You may keep the report card.
Middle School
You will receive an email on Thursday with your child’s report card attached and instructions on how to access it through PowerSchool. Students will come home with a form for parents to sign and return acknowledging you have reviewed the report card.

Off-Campus Guidelines
Dear ACS Parents,
We understand that there may be many extenuating family circumstances for you to consider, especially as the Christmas season approaches and decisions are being made about family get-togethers and travel plans in light of COVID-19.
In accordance with our Back to School Plan, when students are quarantined due to an exposure to COVID-19 or test positive, we provide Off-Campus Learning materials and teacher support, typically for a minimum 2-week period.
If parents choose to quarantine kids due to extenuating circumstances, ACS treats those absences as we have in the past. This means:
Elementary students may receive some materials to work on while they are away. Teachers will work with you and your kids to get caught up once students return. There is no Off-Campus Learning support during this time.
Middle School students are able to log into their Google Classrooms to view resources, see assignments, and submit work; however, there are no check-ins by ACS faculty or staff during the students’ time away. Resources are posted on a one day delay.
We are wishing all of you warm, healthy wishes during this season as we anticipate celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Advent at ACS
Get into the Christmas spirit by reflecting on the First Christmas at Ada Christian’s beautiful outdoor campus. Hear stories told from different perspectives. This family event allows all ages to hear from old Zachariah, the three magi, and the shepherds. Visit the manger and experience the true LIGHT of the season.

Author Visit
Ada Christian Welcomes author, Glenys Nellist!
On Monday, Dec 14 Glenys Nellist will be having a virtual visit with some of our 1st-4th grade classes to celebrate kindness and generosity and to explore the work of an author. If your child’s class is participating, you will be receiving more information from that teacher.

This week we’re praying for our 8th graders and their teachers.

PTO Happenings
Charleston Wrap
A big thank you to all of the families and friends of our school who supported the recent Charleston Wrap fundraiser. We were able to raise thousands of dollars to support programs and events within Ada Christian.
Prizes earned from sales will be delivered to students at school in the next few weeks. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Thanks again for your support!
PTO Cancelled Events
Our PTO has made the decision to cancel and/or postpone all events through winter due to COVID-19. This includes Christmas Shop, Daddy Daughter Dance and Mother Son Event. Stay tuned for updates and rescheduled dates!
