Spring Is In The Air
Spring is time to enjoy new life! Our three goats are nearly ready to bless us with new kids at ACS. It won't be long now. Just look at Beau as she tries to muster the energy to stand in her condition.
Art Congratulations Continue
Mr. Wanner’s students, Alaina Clark, Adelyn Hoekzema, Aaden Landis, and Kate Bruining, had their artwork selected to be in the MAEA State level show being held at the Grand Rapids Art Museum Apr 21 - 28.
Additionally, Kate Bruining’s piece was selected as one of the top 15 pieces in the elementary level show.
All of the students in the show have the opportunity to attend a workshop hosted at Kendall College of Art and Design on Apr 21 from 12:30-2:00 pm.

Lost & Found
The lost will be in the front lobby on Friday, Apr 13. What is left at the end of the day will be boxed away. You can always check the lost and found which is located by the kitchen/music rooms.
Moms In Prayer
There we will be praying for 6th grade. God is good. One who is virtuous, excellent and upright.

Come join other dads in room 504 on Fridays at 8:00am as we explore our call to be faithful men of Christ. We will be dwelling with the Word in the Book of Luke this semester. Coffee and donuts provided. All ACS dads welcome!

Congratulations to Mrs. Becky Witte for her recent acceptance to a full-time Michigan State PhD program. Although we are very happy for her it was sad to learn she will not have time to continue as our 5th grade teacher. May God bless her new learning adventure!
Calvin 5K Spring Classic
Would you like a chance to promote Ada Christian School at a local race, get some exercise, and have the chance to win some great prizes? Sign up for the Calvin 5K Spring Classic School Challenge on Apr 28.
One student from each of the top five schools with the most participants will win a $350 gift certificate to Village Bike. The school with the most participants will win a $250. Participation in the 5K run, 5K walk or kids' fun run all count toward Ada Christian's participation. Tell your friends, family and neighbors. Anyone who registers under Ada Christian will be added to our team. Once you sign up, send an email to Anna Ter Beek at aberke98@yahoo.com to let her know you signed up. There will be a weekly drawing every Wednesday between now and race day to win a $5 gift card to Gazelle Sports. The earlier you sign up, the more chances you have to win!

2018-2019 Enrollment
Dear Parents,
It is time to re-enroll your student(s) at ACS. Please check your email for more specific enrollment information.
We ask that you complete the online re-enrollment form by Friday, Apr 20. To complete the enrollment form, log into PowerSchool and click on Ecollect Forms in the navigation menu. For specific username information please check your email.
There is a Tuition & Grants section on the form.
- The first TUITION amount you see is the calculation for the “Requested” or “Full Cost” amount of tuition.
- In the GRANT section, thanks to the generous, ongoing support of our ACS Education Foundation, you will be notified of the maximum grant amount you may accept towards your tuition.
- The grants are available for all families needing tuition assistance. There is no application process needed to qualify for this grant.
- Tax deductible receipts will be sent for any amount of the grant not claimed towards your tuition total. (Thank you!)
- For families needing additional tuition assistance, you may complete an online application through FACTS, by May 7. Qualifying families will be notified of the assistance amounts in June and adjustments to your tuition total will be made at that time.

Mr. Hoo needs your help! Spring is in the air and there is much work to be done in our outdoor spaces. Mr. Hoo needs help with both planting and clean up. Whatever your niche there is a place for you!

Staff Appreciation Week – Apr 16-20
It is that wonderful time of the year in which all of the ACS parents have the privilege of showing our appreciation to the outstanding ACS staff. Not only are they an important part of our children's lives, but they also have a huge impact on our future! Staff includes all the teachers, support staff, specials teachers, administration, janitorial, and bus drivers!
On behalf of all the ACS parents, the PTO has made arrangements to bless the staff with a little treats throughout the week in their staff lounge including a luncheon. You can help us shower our staff and teachers with special notes/cards made by you and your children. Our teachers and staff will treasure your and your children’s words of appreciation. You can also focus your prayers on specific ACS staff. A list of staff members can be found in the ACS directory. Thank you in advance for your support.
During this week covering our teachers recess duty has always been a much welcomed act of appreciation. Elementary and Middle school spots are available. To do this we need 33 volunteers. Available? Sign up to help.
