A Note From The Principal

...It Was Good

I couldn’t help but take this picture one day on my way home from school. There is beauty when snow drapes over various kinds of trees. These caught my attention due to the weight pressed upon the branches from the heavy snow.

It also brought me back to my younger church days as a child when we learned about creation.

Genesis 1:11-13 - Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

God is a God of order. We live in a state with four seasons that at times are so incredibly unpredictable, yet expected. We can be assured that God is in control, takes care of us, watches over us, holds us up when things feel heavy and celebrates with us during those parts of our lives that are joyous.

What a Mighty God we serve!

Winter Safety Reminders

A few important safety reminders to you as we approach the winter season.

  1. Reminder about standard drop off and pick up procedures. When using the loops, please do not get out of your vehicles and be sure your child(ren) exits the right side of the vehicle (sidewalk side, not loop side)
  2. Please refrain from picking up and dropping off your children at Ada Congregational Church. We have an agreement with the church that only our faculty and staff will utilize their parking lot (with the exception of special events).
  3. Please remind your child(ren) to use crosswalks when walking to your parked vehicle. If you park in the grassy area across from the preschool, please make sure your child uses the crosswalk with an adult. We have had several children walking across without using the crosswalk and/or without an adult. Please help us keep all of our kids safe!
