A Note From The Principal

A Promise Kept

Oh boy!

So, I have been a Michigan fan for as long as I can remember - all the way back to when I played basketball in high school (even before since my family roots for Michigan) and nearly played against Chris Webber, one of the Fab Five from U of M’s basketball team in the early 90’s, but missed him by one game due to losing in a regional final game before possibly playing against Detroit Country Day in a quarter final game.

Anyway, all that to say that I am a Michigan fan and wore some apparel last week Friday in honor of that. I also made a deal with some students that if MSU won the football game last week Saturday, then I would hang an MSU balloon on my office door.

This picture is proof of my promise and yes, the students came to my office to check just to make sure I followed through on that!

What a fun game and what a great way for me to be able to connect with staff members as well as students :)

Make it a great day!

This Week

"Faith. Strong." Friday

It's that time again. All students, staff and parents are encouraged to wear their ACS gear to school this week Friday, Nov 05.

Moms In Prayer

This week we’re praying for our 4th grade teachers and students.

God is Pure —  One who is without blemish or fault; holy, sinless, perfect

Scripture: "May You create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Psalm 51:10

We’re a group of Moms passionate about lifting up our kids and ACS faculty and staff in prayer — we pray every Thursday, 8-9am, in the front office conference room. Siblings always welcome. If you have any questions, give me a call (Kelly Stafford, 616.304.2963)

Class Composite Orders

You may now place an order for class composites online There will be no paper order forms going home this year.

A class composite is an 8x10 photo which includes a picture of the teacher, aides (if any), and each student in the classroom. Names are listed under each photo. The titles in the middle show the classroom name, teacher name, name of the school, and school year.

Orders are due Nov 12.
