A Note From The Principal

The Great Creator

Each year, the ACS campus boasts its colors near the end of October. It is seemingly impossible for me to not take a picture and be reminded of the Great Creator. A couple verses surfaced as I searched for biblical references about God’s creative power.

Romans 1:20 - “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.” Genesis 1:1 is another verse that most people quote fairly regularly, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

As my wife and I drove back from South Bend, Indiana this past weekend, she commented on how beautiful God’s creation is during the fall season. Fall might be my favorite one due to the awestruck beauty it brings.

Enjoy the next couple of weeks before the leaves all fall and winter brings its own beauty.

Wildcats of the Month

Congratulations to our September Wildcats of the month: Royce A. (5th), Isaac C. (6th), Annie F. (7th), & Henley H. (8th).

This Week

Moms In Prayer

Join us for Moms in Prayer on Thursday, October 26 from 8:00-9:00am in the back ACS conference room. Our attribute this week is "God is Able". We will be praying specifically for our 4th graders and their teachers. Contact Kristen Yeh with any questions. Younger siblings are always welcome.

ACS Grounds Clean Up Day

The Operations Committee is hosting a Grounds Clean Up Day on Oct 28 from 8:00am - 2:00pm. We plan to tackle some fall clean-up in preparation for winter. This includes trimming trees, moving mulch, pulling weeds, etc. We need approximately 20 people to help around campus during each of our 2hr sessions. Anyone middle school age and older is welcome to help. Please sign-up so we know who to anticipate. Thank You.

If you have any questions please contact Rob Knecht, or Nate Kiser, ">nkiser@adachristian.org.

Spirit Shop

A Note From Mrs. Phillips

Preston and I are so geeked to introduce our newest little love, Scarlett James!

We got a text about a birth mom who was interested in us adopting her new baby on a Friday at 8:00pm. We met her at 1:00pm on Saturday, she asked us why we were choosing adoption right now, and she said she wanted to move forward with us. We took Scarlett home with us at 5:00pm that day.

Birth mom (Lesley) named baby Scarlett Shelby and hoped that we would use some part of that name. We wanted to honor her in this way. We have prayed for an open adoption and that is what this mom desires and she has already shown her thankfulness for that.

James was going to be the middle name of our adopted baby regardless of gender as the book of James kept us grounded in God’s timing and remaining faithful to Him through the end of our adoption paperwork process, leading up to being “paper pregnant” at the end of March. Walking in faith; trusting God's timing.

We can’t believe this is real!

Scarlett was 4lbs 5oz when we took her home. The tiniest thing. The Lord certainly protected her in her mother's womb and she is truly a miracle.

Praying through the uncertainty of the days, weeks, and months ahead as she isn’t legally a Phillips right now, but leaning on the Lord’s overflowing faithfulness!

Every Square Inch Apparel

This year we are launching our First "Every Square Inch" Farm Fundraiser! A wise theologen once said "There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine! 'ˮ

We would like to introduce you to our Every Square Inch Fall Line of apparel. All of the profits from each item will go directly to paying for the food and fresh bedding for our goats and chickens. In addition this money will be used for the seeds we need to keep our gardens growing year round. The virtual storefront will be live until Friday, Oct 27. All orders will be filled and delivered to school by Nov, 27. Thank you for all your support! Items are available in infant - adult sizes while supplies last.
