A Note From The Principal

Wonderful Worship

I wonder how many of our families realize that some of our preschool friends meet in the commons due to our growth in the kindergarten classes? One full time classroom took over a preschool classroom. The flexibility of our preschool team is outstanding and the newly renovated commons is being used nearly 100% of the time. These students were worshiping as I walked in, so I thought it was crucial for me to get a quick snapshot of this learning.

I am amazed at how our teachers are able to use any space, any technology and any curriculum and teach it from a Biblical perspective. Their ability to relate to our students at their respective levels and according to their craft while infiltrating Jesus’ teaching and love is the heartbeat of this school. They are the ones, on a daily basis, that directly partner with families for the well-being of students. Each day, we attempt to live out our theme from Ephesians 4:3 about being unified in the Spirit through the bond of peace as students navigate their calling on their life.

This Week

"Faith. Strong." Friday

Get your ACS gear ready for Friday! On Friday, Oct 6 we encourage all students, parents and staff to show their ACS spirit. If you don’t own any ACS gear yet you can wear your favorite blue t-shirt!

Moms In Prayer

Join us for Moms in Prayer on Thursday, Oct 5 from 8:00-9:00am in the back ACS conference room. Our attribute this week is "God is our Counselor". We will be praying specifically for our 2nd graders. Contact Kristen Yeh (616-307-2488) with any questions. Younger siblings are always welcome.

Lost & Found

Starting tomorrow the lost & found will be on display in the front lobby. Please swing by and take a look. Any items not claimed after Friday will be boxed up and donated.

Kindergarten Intentions

As we begin to prepare for next year’s enrollment we are asking parents to help in this process.

If you are the parent of a 4-5 year old and interested in Kindergarten at ACS next year please take a few moments to complete this Kindergarten Intentions form. Official enrollment for 24-25 will take place in mid February.

First time Kindergartener in the family? Beginning in October, Principal Sall will open up his calendar to meet with any families new to Kindergarten at ACS.

Statements of Belief

This week we highlight:

We believe there is one eternal God. He exists in three persons- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - (Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-2, 10:30).

In Gathering Time elementary students are learning to recite the apostles creed including motions. As Christians it is important that we recite and remind ourselves of what is true on a regular basis.

Education Foundation Fundraising Dinner - November 2

On behalf of the Ada Christian School Education Foundation:

You’re Invited to Ada Christian School on November 2, 2023 at 6:00 pm for the annual fall gathering. This event is the signature fundraising event for the Ada Christian School Education Foundation, which supports our call to provide a high quality Christian education to anyone who desires it. We hope you can join us on the campus of Ada Christian as we celebrate and launch our Faith Forward Advancement Campaign. Come enjoy an evening with friends as we share exciting plans for the future of Ada Christian School.

This year we welcome well-known practitioner, adolescent and family scholar, and author
