Professional Biography:
In 1996, I graduated from Central Michigan University with a major in early childhood development and family studies. I student taught in the college preschool there, assisted in a local preschool and also worked at an educational store in town. Then, in 1998, I was fortunate to come on staff at Ada Christian Preschool. God definitely had a plan for me here, and I have seen His hand in everything.
Personal Biography:
My husband Shawn and I rejoice over Seth and Susan, our 2 precious children. Spending time with them brings us great joy. I have so appreciated Christian education in a whole new way now that my son has been to preschool and kindergarten, and look forward to all God has in store for my daughter here soon as well. Our church home is New Life Christian Fellowship, where I enjoy being on the worship team, and my husband Shawn teaches Bible classes. Shawn also teaches middle school in Newaygo.
Faith Statement:
I count it all joy to foster the preschoolers’ growth here at ACS, spiritually and academically. It is a privilege to be a part of this experience with them. I fully believe that if a child feels safe and secure in God’s love, they can learn anything. What excites me is when I see children understand God’s love and His Word in new ways that relate to everyday life, and how they act upon these new revelations. The simple things in life can be so powerful! I praise God that we can all continue to grow in Him.
