I find comfort knowing Jesus Christ as my faithful Savior. With thanksgiving and praise I humbly strive to live for him and serve him only. I fall short of this constantly and am thankful for his redeeming love. I am also thankful for the living word that helps my relationship with Christ grow and provides great direction.

I believe that we need to work to redeem God’s creation. We live in a fallen world and every inch of it needs to be touched by the love of Christ. I especially feel called to do this in the school community. Our youth are so precious and it is important that they know the Lord personally and see how he is part of everything they learn and do! By teaching through biblical lenses we help them become strong kingdom workers. What an amazing and fruitful mission to be part of!

I graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in December 2009. I majored in social science and completed the secondary education program along with becoming a middle school generalist. As a middle school generalist I am certified to teach all subject areas but I also specifically specialize in middle school mathematics and social studies.

I grew up in Northwestern Ontario and it was there that my love for the outdoors began. I love spending time outdoors exploring God’s creation. I especially love it when those times outside include friends and family and a fun activity.
