I graduated from Anderson University in 2007 with a B.A. in Education and I’m certified to teach kindergarten through eighth grade. I began my career in Baldwin, MI teaching 5th grade for three years before making the move to Grand Rapids where I taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade over the course of five years. This year begins my first year at Ada Christian school as a third grade teacher.
My husband Matt and I have one child, Wesley, who is two years old. We love spending time outdoors together. We enjoy biking, taking hikes along the lakeshore, and visiting national parks. I love to read, and enjoy cooking and gardening. My husband and I partner in ministry with Crossroads Bible Church in Grand Rapids.
As a follower of Christ Jesus it is a joy and a privilege to serve God through the ministry of teaching. God has been so kind to me. He is rich in mercy and abounding in love. Living out of the fullness of Christ is my greatest joy and highest calling. His grace restores my soul and enables me to be the person He’s created me to be. I’m grateful He allows us as Christians to be His image bearers to the world and to each other. This overflows into my work as a teacher as I endeavor to point children to Christ and display His hand in all things.
