ACS is seeking a Covenant Care Lead Teacher

The After Care Lead will support a program that cares for students, provides for active play, proper nourishment and support of school day activities as needed in support of our mission to equip students for service in God’s world.

Reports to: Principal and Covenant Care Director

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Commitment to the mission of Christian education and an in-depth understanding of and commitment to the Reformed tradition of Christianity
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education desired
  • Minimum of four years experience in a preschool or childcare

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to young children and parents
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues
  • Professional and effective verbal and listening communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • The Lunch Bunch/After Care Lead is responsible for supporting a successful program
  • She or he will ensure that there is a caring and safe environment for the children
  • Follow state codes and regulations
  • Communicate with parents by e-mail, phone, formal and informal meetings
  • Perform related duties as required by the Covenant Care Director

Hours:

10:30am-6:00pm, Monday - Friday


Evaluation:

Evaluated once a year for the first three years in position and once every three years following by the Principal. See Policy Book for details.
