What do students think makes Ada Christian School different from others:
Additional testimonies:
"It's like a family here. We know and care about each other. We worry about each other. We can talk to each other."
"We learn about the way God runs things - like in science we learn that God created the earth, not that we came from monkeys. In some schools you can't even talk about God or say prayers."
Beginning in 2000, the Keeping Faith Capital Campaign raised $12.5 million to build our new facility. Over 75 percent of all school families made a financial commitment in the Keeping Faith Capital Campaign. Construction was completed on time and on budget. The new building was dedicated on August 26, 2002 giving thanks to God and His faithful people.
While this was great, to keep this distinctively Christian education available to future generations, we must continue our support. Our school must remain affordable to average families in the community. Our school board, facility, administrators, staff, and families have been wise stewards of God's resources. Despite cost-containment efforts, Ada Christian School's operating costs have risen faster than the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the last 10 years, and costs are expected to continue to rise at a rate above the CPI. In the future, the Ada Christian School Board may have just two choices: reduce programs or increase tuition. Today's economic recession underscores the risk to our families and to Ada Christian Schools future if these become the School Board's only alternatives. At Ada Christian, the rising cost of education is offset by the generosity of our school family.
