No school on Friday, February 3 and Monday, February 6

A Note From the Principal…

Some things I see.

In the mornings when I make my “loop” through the halls, I see mornings started with devotions and prayer. Then,  as the days unfold, I see students engaged in learning as their teachers inspire them to be life-long learners.  Here is a glimpse of a few things I saw over the past few days…

Some of our students are headed for space (They even made space helmets!), several are exploring China (colorful dragons everywhere), singers are “ice skating” on a piece of white paper, and boys and girls have created obstacle courses using two or more of the body systems (Imagine bouncing 20 times in a bladder before hitting a button to send you down a tube and out of the game???!). Do you know our Kindergarten students can write their own sentences? (They can!) Ever wonder what transition words you would use to blow a bubble?  (Check out the display in room 306 – impressive!) Have you considered the way wax and sand can be used to express the likenesses and differences between volcanoes?  (Some of our middle school students can educate us on that.) The list goes on.

Know that we enjoy your children.  They are a blessing.

Your partner in education,

Mrs. Brower, Principal

SKI DAY AT CANNONSBURG – Monday, February 6 is the day that has been set aside this year for an all school opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors at Cannonsburg Ski Area. There is a form attached to this note that will need to be filled out and brought to Cannonsburg on the day. We will also have forms available in the office. $10 will cover ski/snowboard rental and a lift ticket valid from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. You may arrive at 9:30 to begin the process so that you are ready to “hit the slopes” by 10:00!

IF you would like a lesson, you must sign up in the office and pay an additional $5 by Wednesday, February 1st. Cannonsburg must have firm numbers to be sure that they have enough instructors there to meet our needs!
