The Philosophy
At Ada Christian School, technology is used to enhance the educational process of preparing students as life-long learners. We desire to equip students with a basic understanding that technology is a God-given tool to be used in responsible ways.
Students must acquire a foundation of knowledge, skills, and attitudes which enables them to be responsible and effectively use technology as a tool for learning.
Statement of Beliefs:
- Technology is not a class or a separate curriculum that we teach at Ada Christian School.
- Technology is to be used as an aid to instruction, and to enhance children’s learning.
- Teachers will use technology to help aid in communication between home and school.
- Technology will enhance collaboration of learning between students and teachers.
- Technology is ever changing and evolving. Staff will strive to stay up-to-date with current trends in education and provide that information to the students.
Teachers and Students will learn how to view technology from a Christian perspective, and see its value to enhance His kingdom.
Goals for Technology in the Classroom
Teachers will strive to integrate technology into the curriculum that currently is in place. At some points teachers will have to change some methodology on how certain lessons are taught to use the technology resources available. But technology may always be used to improve learning of subjects and content areas.
