Kindergarten

Kindergarten is an exciting year for both you and your child! It is filled with incredible change and wonderful growth! At ACS we believe each child is a unique gift from God and we are eager to discover the God-given special qualities of your child! We encourage growth as a whole person -- academically, spiritually, physically, socially, and emotionally. We value partnering with parents in this exciting year!

During the kindergarten year children will work as individuals and in groups, develop letter, sound, and word skills, work with basic concepts of mathematics, discover and explore through science and social studies topics, and grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s love for them through devotions, bible stories, and community building activities.

At Ada Christian we offer the following three options:

IMPORTANT DATES FOR THE UPCOMING 2012-2013 SCHOOL YEAR

March 14, 2012: Kindergarten Orientation Evening @ 7pm

*Come join us for an evening of meeting the kindergarten teachers, viewing a powerpoint presentation illustrating our kindergarten curriculum, visiting our classrooms, and learning more about Ada Christian School! This is a parent only event.

April 17, 2012: Kindergarten Visitation Day  (held during school hours)

*This is an opportunity for your child to visit our classroom for a 1-hour time frame.

During this hour your child will have some time to play in our classroom, hear a Bible story, make a small project, and enjoy a snack. Parents will be able to sign up their child for a particular time at the kindergarten orientation evening or by calling our school office.

April 26, 2012: Kindergarten Testing (held during school hours)

*As we partner with you as parents, we desire each child have a successful year in kindergarten. For this reason, we provide testing for children who turn 5 after June 1 or if parents have any other concern and would like their child tested to see if they are ready for kindergarten. Parents will be able to sign up their child for a particular time at the kindergarten orientation evening or by calling our school office.
