Science Olympiad

What is Science Olympiad?

Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving student understanding of science and increasing student interest in science. The Science Olympiad events are rigorous academic competitions that consist of a series of events which students prepare for during the year. The Science Olympiad Tournament consists of a series of twenty-three individual and team events.  Biology, chemistry, astronomy, earth science, physics, and technology are represented in a variety of formats focusing on problem solving, critical thinking, and real world applications.

When are the practices and competition?

This year our Informational Evening will be on November 8 @ 7pm and practices go through the end of March.  The Regional Competition will be on Saturday, March 24 @ Grand Valley State University.  The State competition will be on Saturday, April 28th @ MSU.

If we are successful enough at the regional competition to go on to state, we will then practice in the month of April up through the week of the state competition at MSU.
